Awaken Cafe is a local donation-based coffee shop that is part of Valley Presbyterian Church in Paradise Valley, Arizona. The Valley Presbyterian team wanted a logo for the cafe that would represent the idea of awakening while reflecting its connection to the church.

Inside the church there are wooden slat architectural elements that are iconic to the church, and give it a very natural feel. With that in mind, as well as the idea of 'awakening,' the logo became a sun made up of lines that reflect the wooden elements seen both in the church and throughout the cafe, in colors that compliment the church brand.
